Visiting Researchers Program
How to arrange or conduct a short study visit in one of our laboratories?
The Academy Networks, Information, and Digital Society operates a Visiting Professors scheme to allow academics, researchers and practitioners to spend a period of time conducting research within one of the Academy's research laboratories on the SophiaTech Campus. The purpose of these visits is to stimulate the scientific work of research teams, strengthen the international profile of the DS4H Graduate School, and encourage partnerships with foreign institutions.
- General Guidelines

- Visiting fellows may start at any time during the year, subject to agreement by the hosting laboratory. The applications must be approved by the coordination unit of the Academy.
- The duration of a visit is normally between 15 days and one month, although longer stays may be considered upon request. Shorter visits (less than 2 weeks) will not be considered.
- The invitation of a third year PhD student may be possible, though priority is given to professors and researchers.
- Financial support for travel and accommodation may be provided, up to a maximum of €2,500 per month (€1,500 per month for PhD students).
- The Academy can arrange accommodation for your visitors with the support of the Université Côte d'Azur Welcome Center.
- Application Process
- To be eligible, the prospective host laboratory must provide:
- a short text indicating the subject of the joint research, and the importance of the collaboration with the host team;
- a CV with the list of publications or a web page of the guest professor;
- a commitment to organise a seminar by visiting professor (or PhD), open to other labs of the Academy;
- details on the budget requested.

Direct applications from external candidates will not be considered.
Applications are reviewed according to their adequacy with the Academy and DS4H Graduate school research topics, their scientific interest, and their impact on the host teams.
A waiting period of 15 days may be required to obtain approval of your application.
