As a student, you need to follow
3 consecutive and mandatory steps
to enrol in one of our curricula.

 
STEP 1 - Application

Beware that procedure for applying varies depending on your nationality your country of residence and your educational plans. Please refer to the right process according to your status.

 
You apply for the Master in Computer Science (Informatique)
Prerequisites
  • M1: to have a L3 diploma (180 ECTS) in Computer Science or equivalent, or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level.
  • M2: to have a M1 diploma (240 ECTS) in Computer Science or equivalent or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level.
  • English level: CECRL B2, attested by any way such as certificate, transcript, cover letter in English, etc.
Choose your track ("parcours")

This master offers 4 different tracks.

  • M1: apply for "Informatique" if you are able to take courses in French. Select "Computer Science" otherwise.
  • M2: apply for "Informatique et interactions" if you're interested in the University Computer Science Department master track. Select "Ingénierie" if you prefer to follow the common fully English-speaking 5th year of the University Polytech Nice Sophia Engineering School.

  • M2 : to have a M1 diploma (240 ECTS) in Electronics or equivalent or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level

  • M1 : to have a L3 diploma (180 ECTS) in Economy or Management or equivalent, or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level.
  • M2 : to have a M1 diploma (240 ECTS) in Economy or Management or equivalent or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level

You apply for the Master in Computational methods for business management (Méthodes informatiques appliquées à la gestion des entreprises / MIAGE)
Prerequisites
  • M1 : to have a L3 diploma (180 ECTS) in Computer Science, in Computational Methods for Human and Social Sciences or equivalent, or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level.
  • M2 : to have a M1 diploma (240 ECTS) in Computer Science, in Computational Methods for business management or equivalent or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level

You apply for the Master in Digital Law and Intellectual Property (Droit de la propriété intellectuelle et des nouvelles technologies)
Prerequisites
  • M2 : to have a M1 diploma (240 ECTS) in Business Law, Private Law, Public Law, International and European Regulation, Economic and Social Administration or equivalent or for candidates that studied in a foreign country, to have an equivalent level

You apply for a PhD (doctorat)
DS4H delivers PhDs in Computer Science Automatic, Signal and Image Processing Electronics, and Digital Law, Economics and Management.
 
  • You need first to look for a PhD supervisor belonging to the Information Technologies Doctoral School (ED STIC) or the Humanities and Social Sciences Doctoral School (ED DESPEG), whose research activity copes with your scientific whishes. Do it preferably before the end of your Master and contact a few of them.
  • See if they are interested, if they propose a PhD subject for you and be careful to inform them immediately when you have made a choice.
  • All PhD students must benefit from 3 years funding to register. With the help of your potential PhD supervisor, inventory the possible 3-year funding sources and apply to the appropriate programs.
  • Once your PhD funding is secured, you must apply through the eCandidat Doctorat platform.
  • Once your registration is complete, you will be integrated in one of the DS4H partner laboratories, which provide the material and scientific environment needed. All partner laboratories are renowned research institutions with long-standing practices for leading doctoral projects.
  • You will be required to follow 30 hours per year of complementary training from different sources: DS4H minors, seminars, and dedicated courses on research and teaching

Master and PhD Students

You need to complete the mandatory administrative registration process to register in Université Côte d'Azur on which depend Digital Systems for Humans' programs.

In most cases, a fully digital procedure is proposed.

The Université Côte d'Azur's administrative registration website opens on 2020 July, 13th.

At the end of the process, you will get your Sesame account and your Student Card.

International Students

Non-European accepted applicants must start the process to obtain a visa as soon as the admission notification is received.
Student long-stay visa, or student VLS-TS, allows you to study in France for a period of four months to one year.

STEP 3 - Pedagogical Registration

From now, you can start

STEP 3: Pedagogical Registration

Your pedagogical registration will come only after your administrative registration has been completed, i.e. you've got your Sesame account and Student card.

Pedagogical registration process will allow you to finalize your enrolment in your major courses (for Master students only), but also in minors, tutorships and group projects (open to both Master and PhD students).

It allows you to set up your final timetable.

An information meeting will be held at the beginning of each semester to help you make your choices.

2020/2021 FALL SEMESTER KICKOFF MEETING: Sept. 11th

Beware that only a duly completed pedagogical registration will allow you to get your marks and to validate your diploma!

Tuition Fees

The French educational system allows all students to follow their studies with a low cost financial commitment. The cost of DS4H curricula is based on regular French university fees.

Master fees

Tuition fees are approximately 490 Euros for a full master's curriculum. Thanks to a decision of Université Côte d'Azur Board, this amount is the same whether your are a French student, an European student or a non-European student.

PhD fees

Tuition fees are approximately 380 Euros per year.

For all students : Student and Campus Life Contribution

Please notice that, with very few exceptions, the Student and Campus Life Contribution ("Contribution Vie Etudiante et de Campus" - CVEC)  applies to all French and foreign students enrolling for a degree program in a public or private institution of higher education in France.
