DocWalker Program

The doctoral stay must contribute to the scientific advancement of the thesis with the additional expertise of the foreign laboratory hosting the doctoral student. It must be in line with the subject of the thesis and does not guarantee any possible extension of the thesis duration decided by the doctoral schools STIC, DESPEG and SFA.

The duration of doctoral stays may vary between 1 and 3 months.

The funding of the doctoral mobility action takes place as the reimbursement of travel expenses with the possibility of obtaining an advance payment equal to 75% of the total expenses reimbursed.
Supported expenses correspond to the eligible expenses according to the UniCA mission guide, namely travel expenses between the place of residence and the host laboratory abroad, accommodation and meals. The amounts reimbursed are calculated on the basis of 25% of the daily allowances set depending on the different countries. The reimbursement of meals only corresponds to 35% of these allowances.
Repatriation insurance and if necessary liability insurance will also be provided.

A hosting contract must be signed between the laboratory or UniCA center and the foreign host university prior to the departure of the doctoral student stipulating the conditions of access to the foreign laboratory, and the management of the intellectual property generated during the stay. UniCA's Research, Development and Innovation Department (DRVI) will provide support for the establishment and signing of these hosting contracts, except in specific cases.
